Learning from my mistakes, I found some ways to make my breast milk abundant. Well, not that abundant, but better in quantity and, I hope and pray, in quality.
If only every baby were born with a manual book, I would follow the rule. But, unfortunately there isn't such a book. So, I follow the traditions and what the experts say. Here are some ways to get better breast milk based on my experience.
Get Enough Sleep
It is really true. When you have a baby, get enough sleep. Not only during the night but also during the day. The words 'Baby sleeps, mom sleeps' is 100% correct.
When I didn't have enough sleep, I found my breasts were weak and produced less milk. And you know, less milk means cranckier baby. I get assistance here every working day, so I don't do any laundry nor ironing nor washing the dishes nor moping the floor. Lucky me, I guess. Alhamdulillah.
Only on Sundays I do some of those works, but due to the condition I lessen my target. I prefer to have a little messy house rather than a crancky baby.

Eat Green Veggies
My mom says that the darker the color of the veggies the better. I agree with that. Tradition tells me to eat more green veggies. I found that green chinese cabbage is good for my breast milk. I can have it almost every day. I don't care whether I will get bored or not.
Along with that, don't forget to drink enough water. Experts say moms with babies should drink 14 glass of water a day.
Stress-Free Yourself
Yes, yes. Make yourself comfortable every time. Eat good food, lessen physical activity, get enough sleep, entertain yourself, think positively is good for moms with newborn. Believe me, those hormones have something to do with the milk produce.
Don't ever think that by avoiding some activities and lessen your target means that you are lazy. Don't. It won't last forever, right? As soon as your baby starts eating there will be more time to get back to your activity. Also don't listen to negative comments from anybody. Close your ears tight from those. Enjoy your life and your baby's smile.
Well, those are 3 ways I do to get better breast milk. Any moms out there have the same experience?
Katuk leaf is good too, but I guess it's not easily found, is it?
